Today’s matches marked the start of a win streak for the victorious. APK Prince, DAMWON Gaming, and DragonX each took 2-0 victories in their respective matches.

On the 2nd (KST), in Round 2 of the 2020 LCK Spring, APK Prince, DAMWON Gaming, and DragonX defeated Afreeca Freecs, Hanwha Life Esports, and KT Rolster respectively, which all ended with a set score of 2-0.

In the first match of the day, APK defeated AF 2-0 to join the 4-win club. As both teams loved to fight, there were many skirmishes in each game, but APK were the team that always had priority. Even when it comes to macro, through objectives around the map in Game 1, and effectively split pushing in Game 2, APK was relentless in pressuring AF.

As each lane showed an elevated level of gameplay, the rookie that had all eyes on him, HyBriD, was able to live up to the hype and carry the games. Alongside HyBriD, ikssu also got a solo kill on Kiin, and Secret also created many highlight reels that showcases him not only saving his allies in a tough spot, but also hooking the enemy carries at key points of the game.

In the following series between DWG and HLE, DWG was able to come out on top as the victors. DWG put on a performance that seemingly mimicked their golden eras as a team. Not only did DWG have priority over HLE in the early game, they were able to quickly snowball that early lead. In Game 2 of the series, they almost had a perfect game where they did not allow a single objective nor tower to their enemy.

In the last series of the day, DRX took on KT Rolster, a team that was on an 8-match winning streak. Despite the contrary belief that it was going to be an even game, DRX was able to take a landslide victory. With an early lead that led Chovy’s Kassadin to scale well, he was able to become an incredibly dangerous carry threat. Game 2 of the series was all about Doran’s Sett. He got incredibly fed with the support of his team, and created many highlight reels through his awe-inspiring use of The Show Stopper.
