Immortals fell to Dignitas to start out the final day of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split and was subsequently eliminated from post-season contention. Dignitas will move on to face Golden Guardians to decide who will secure the 6th and final seed in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs.

The 2020 LCS Spring Split was supposed to conclude on Sunday, March 29, but a whopping four tiebreaker matches due to a three-way tie for 2nd and 6th place tacked an extra day on before the LCS Spring Playoffs.

Immortals entered the final week of the Spring Split with a good chance of qualifying for the Spring Playoffs. All the team needed to qualify for the post-season was a single win, but thrown leads against both Dignitas and 100 Thieves saw IMT forced into tie-breakers. Dignitas' victory over Immortals was their 3rd in a row, and prior to week 9, DIG had sported a 1-6 record in the second round robin of regular split play.

Immortals is the third team to be eliminated from 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs contention. Counter Logic Gaming was mathematically eliminated in week 8, and Team Liquid's loss to Cloud9 dashed the reigning LCS champion's post-season hopes. IMT wil finish the 2020 LCS Spring Split in 8th place at 8-11, just ahead of the 9th place 7-11 Team Liquid and the 10th place 3-15 CLG.
