The 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Academy League Spring Split has concluded, and the post-season has officially begun. Let's take a look at how the seeding for 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs ended up panning out, and what matchups will start things off on Thursday, April 2nd.

Cloud9 Academy secured the 1st seed with a record of 14-4. Most impressively, the team ended its season on a 13-game win streak after a slow start to spring. C9 Academy did not finish with an 0-2 head-to-head record against a single team in the LCS Academy League. Its 1st place seed has it earned the team a playoff bye for the Quarterfinals.

Dignitas Academy got off to a scorching hot start, finishing the first round robin with a perfect 9-0 record before dropping its first game to Team Liquid Academy. Dignitas would struggle in the next few weeks, especially with the exchange of Jungler Matt "Akaadian" Higginbotham with Dignitas' LCS roster for the struggling Jonathan "Grig" Armao, and only won a single game of its next seven before finishing strong with a 2-0 week 9. DIG's 2nd place seed has also earned the team a bye.

The first matchup of the Quarterfinals will feature 3rd seed Evil Geniuses Academy against 6th seed TL Academy. EG Academy struggled with visa issues early on in the Spring Split, but the week 2 addition of Andy "AnDa" Hoang in the jungle, merely one split removed from an Academy League championship, paid off in spades. EG Academy finished the season with a record of 11-7, just one game under DIG Academy.

TL Academy struggled with Mike "MikeYeung" Yeung in wake of Jungler Shern "Shernfire" Cherng-Tai being promoted to Team Liquid's LCS roster due to Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen's visa issues in the first leg of the Spring Split. Once Shernfire returned, the team looked much stronger, and its 8-10 record alongside a 2-0 head-to-head with the 8-10 Golden Guardians was enough to punch TL Academy's ticket to the post-season.

The second Quarterfinals matchup will be played by 4th seed TSM Academy and 5th seed 100 Thieves Academy. Both teams qualified for the 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs after Golden Guardians Academy and Immortals Academy were eliminated from post-season contention. TSM beat 100 Thieves on Saturday, and since both teams lost in their respective final games of the Spring Split, TSM's 10-8 came out ahead of 100 Thieves' 9-9.

The 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs begin with EG Academy vs. TL Academy on Thursday, April 2nd at 12:00pm PDT. The winners of the Quarterfinals matches will move on to Semifinals, where C9 Academy will choose its opponent and the other team will face DIG Academy.
