After suffering its 12th loss of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split to Dignitas,  Counter Logic Gaming was mathematically eliminated from potential qualification for the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs. CLG is the first team in the LCS to be eliminated from post-season contention.

CLG brought Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes back to the starting lineup in week 8 of the 2020 LCS Spring Split, with Oh "Wind" Myeong-jin resuming his standard role of starting AD Carry of CLG Academy, who was eliminated from the LCS Academy League post-season in week 7.

CLG has looked better since replacing Mid Laner Lee "Crown" Min-ho with Eugene "Pobelter" Park, but it was too little to late for the faith squad. Raymond "Wiggily" Griffin's LCS sophomore slump is an easy individual blemish on CLG's most recent split, but the fact of the matter is that the team's 2020 roster, despite retaining 3/5 of its core from its 3rd place finish in the 2019 LCS Summer Split, never truly found its footing.

Counter Logic Gaming has a foundation to build on with Pobelter in the Mid Lane, but they[ll have to settle for the potential of a promising Summer Split for the time being as the rest of the LCS competes to join Cloud9 in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs.
