After the Homestands for March and April are canceled in the Overwatch League, the league announced they will move to online matches during those months. The revamped schedule featured teams that barely got playtime this season like the San Francisco Shock, both Los Angeles teams, Seoul Dynasty, and the Chinese teams. This week, there were going to be online matches featuring the Seoul Dynasty, Los Angeles Valiant, Los Angeles Gladiators, and current OWL champions SF Shock.
League officials just put out an official statement following California's statewide "Stay at home" order to postpone this weekend's games. The following statement from the OWL site stated:
"For the overall safety and well-being of our players, teams and staffs, and in alignment with California’s statewide ‘stay at home’ order, we are canceling this weekend’s scheduled Overwatch League competition. We will share more details on match rescheduling and look forward to returning to action soon."
As of this time, there is no time table when this weekend's games will be rescheduled for play. Additionally, no further action is taken for future OWL games.
