After a 12-0 start to the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split, Cloud9's perfect run has come to an end. TSM, who currently holds the best start in LCS history at 14-0, drafted a counter-comp to C9's trademark playstyle that has steamed rolled the rest of the North American competition, and Cloud9 was unable to consistently win disadvantaged teamfights in the same way the team has done all split long.

C9 is still in 1st place by a wide margin, and will look to bounce back against Golden Guardians Monday night in its 14th game of the season. After C9 was made mortal by TSM, Jungler Robert "Blaber" Huang broke down the factors that led to his team's loss and the team's morale after the game. 

I'm here with Blaber after the first loss of Cloud9's season. How did TSM manage to get the better of you today?

TSM had a really good draft against us; I think it was really hard for us to play the game. They had Sett, Zilean and Jarvan IV against a bunch of immobile carries on our side, so we couldn't really teamfight, but we realized that way too late. I think TSM had a really good plan going into our game today.

Was the game simply doomed from the draft?

I don't think it was doomed from the draft, but if you look at the team compositions and assume both teams are on the same level of play, it's going to be really hard for our side to win the game. I still think we could have won because they misplayed early game and fell behind when they dove our Top Lane tower. After that, there was a decent chance that we could have won the game.

We shouldn't have contested the third Dragon because we had no flashes on our carries. We should have just pushed top and dove their Sett with four of us and the Rift Herald. We need to realize we can't fight without Flashes being up, and even if we can, it's still hard because of the champions we were playing.

This is the first time we've seen another LCS team be able to contest C9 in teamfights. Would you say that TSM has the best teamfighting in the league besides C9, and if so, what makes them such a strong teamfighting team?

This game, TSM's teamfighting seemed really good, but to me, it seemed like they just wombo'd all of their abilities. Sett and Jarvan IV caught three of us at the fight around the third Dragon with a Zilean double-Time Bomb, and there isn't really an outplay to that for us outside of just not being hit by any of it.

The onus was on our side to realize we couldn't fight without Flashes. If Jarvan ulted any of our carries without Flash, Zilean just has to double-Time Bomb them 100% of the time and no one will be able to dodge. There's no outplay. TSM's a good team, but today, I think our team comp was just hard for us to play.

Despite the lack of counterplay, was there anything you were able to learn in your first loss of the season?

Honestly, I think there's a lot to take away from this game in terms of us knowing our fight conditions and how teams want to draft against us. We've been drafting the same style of team compositions pretty much every week, so TSM probably caught on and drafted a really good composition into ours, so maybe we will have to draft differently.

We're not really too worried, but there's still a lot to take away from this game because TSM played pretty well. Even though the game was hard for us, we still could have won.

Even after a loss, a 12-1 record is hard to feel bad about. What's the team morale like after losing to TSM?

We're fine, really. I don't think anyone cares about the perfect split. We're not happy about losing, but I think there's stuff we can learn, and we all realized that. After the game, we had a lot to talk about and it seemed very focused on learning from the game instead of being upset. *laughs* We're 12-1, so our morale is fine.

Is there anything you want to say to the C9 fanbase?

It sucks that we lost, but I think we're still really strong. We'll try to keep winning, so keep supporting us.
