The first match of the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split on March 1st (KST) was Gen.G Esports versus APK Prince. Gen.G was simply too much for APK. Gen.G took the 2-0 victory and tied themselves at 1st place alongside T1.

APK Prince started with a joker pick, Zilean in game 1, but Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk's Ezreal became too strong for APK to handle. Ruler earned himself his first Player of the Game of the season by dealing almost as much damage his whole team combined.

APK didn't give up and came back with another unconventional comp by picking Morgana-Pyke bot in Game 2. They started off well by taking first blood on Kim "Clid" Tae-min's Jarvan IV. However, they weren't able to stop Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong's Azir from scaling. After a teamfight where Azir scored a triple kill, Gen.G never stopped until they destroyed APK's Nexus. Bdd became the Player of the Game and celebrated his own birthday.

A lot of eyes were on the second match as former Griffin members met on the Rift. Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho, Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, and Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon faced their former teammates, Choi "Sword" Seong-won, Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong, and Park "Viper" Do-hyeon. It was a match neither team could yield, but there had to be a winner and loser. By taking two straight games, DragonX collected their 6th win of the season.

DragonX started game 1 with a lane swap between top and mid. Chovy went up to top lane with Rumble to face Sword’s Viktor and Doran’s Soraka went to mid to face Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon’s Ornn. As DragonX had lane priority, they eased ahead and never gave up the lead. With a quadra-kill from Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu’s Aphelios, DragonX destroyed Griffin’s Nexus.

Griffin brought out the 'fasting Senna-Tahm Kench' bot lane in Game 2 and DragonX responded with Varus-Yuumi bot. This time, Griffin managed to stay close as they took first blood. However, DragonX was the team that took all the dragons and the Infernal soul. Whenever Deft's Varus landed his Piercing Arrow, massive damage was dealt and Griffin didn't stand a chance. Ryu "Keria" Min-seok was voted as Player of the Game. DragonX closed the game and took their 6th win of the season.
