On the 8th (KST), Gen.G Esports took on Griffin in the 2020 LCK Spring split. With a set score of 2-0, Gen.G took their second match victory of the season, and showed why they're a team that many other teams in the LCK are wary of.

Kellin joined the Press Room for a post-match interview to share his thoughts about the match and what it feels like to be interviewed for the first time in the Press Room.

Thoughts on the victory?

I lost all my games last year, so it feels weird to finally win and be here. I remember my old teammates from last year. It would’ve been nice to win with them...

It must feel surreal to receive Player of the Game. How does it feel?

Every LoL pro gamer would dream to be named PoG. It’s my first time experiencing it, so it feels very surreal. I can’t put it into words.

You keep picking Taric and Bard. Why?

Taric’s really good in lane, and he's a really good late game champion as well. You can even initiate teamfights with Taric. Bard’s really good against Braum and Tahm Kench, so I’ll always pick Bard if the enemy plays those two champions. Personally, I love Thresh, and even climbed high into the solo queue ladder with him as well.

You’re competing against Life for the starting spot.

We’re both working hard. I’m not too sure why I’m the one that’s starting though. Our head coach gave me the opportunity, so I’m on the starting roster for now. He usually tells me 2 days before the match in who’s starting.

How does it feel to play with the Korea’s representative for the Asian Games, Ruler?

While I have fun playing with him, I also get scolded a lot. I have a lot to learn, so I’m grateful for his feedback. I’m the type of player that gets ahead of myself when I’m behind, so he’s trying to fix that aspect of myself.

Goals for 2020?

I really want to go to Worlds and win the LCK this year.

Finally, is there anything you’d like to say?

It’s such a surreal experience to be interviewed in the Press Room. I hope to perform well and come back many times over.
