[Call of Duty: Modern Warfare] Best attachments for Oden, the god of Ground War

The Oden in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the best ranged assault rifle. Usually, only two to three bullets are needed to take down an enemy. The problem is that there aren’t that many situations in this game to fight with an enemy afar except for a few maps and the Ground War mode. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Oden is unusable in those situations, but the best way to utilize this weapon is in Ground War. Here are a few ways to have this weapon show its best qualities.

Oden

Ground War

- Muzzle: Colossus Suppressor

- Barrel: Oden Factory 810mm

- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic (with T Pose ACOG reticle)

- Stock: FTAC XL Elite Comb

- Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape

The Colossus Suppressor is why you would want to use the Oden. Without this attachment, the range is reduced significantly and the recoil would be very difficult to manage. However, due to the heavy weight, the movement speed is reduced when it isn't as nimble in the first place, and you would have to use a lighter secondary weapon or just simply deal with the slow speed. Still, the huge muzzle and barrel will make the recoil very manageable and the Rubberized Grip Tape is helpful as well. The T Pose ACOG reticle isn’t a must, but it makes it rather easier to target opponents with accuracy.

▲ The T Pose Reticle sometimes makes it easier to aim.

Faster ADS

- Muzzle: Mono Suppressor

- Barrel: Oden Factory 730mm

- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic (or any preferred Optic)

- Stock: FTAC XL Elite Comb

- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

(Perk: Sleight of Hand)

Those who disagree with me about the Colossus Suppressor can use this loadout. As the Colossus Suppressor was to maximize Oden’s strengths, this setup is to cover its weakness: the ADS speed. The FTAC XL Elite Comb stock combined with the Stippled Grip Tape increases the ADS speed to a decent level. By using the smaller suppressor and shorter barrel, your movement speed would also increase to an endurable level. Another thing that people complain about the Oden is its long reload time. Add in Sleight of Hand in place of any of the above rather than using an extended magazine at 25 or 30 round magazines since they increase weight.

Run & Gun CQC

- Muzzle: Compensator

- Barrel: Oden Factory 420mm

- Laser: Tac Laser

- Stock: FTAC XL Elite Comb

- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

(Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip)

It doesn’t seem that Oden was designed to be a high-mobile weapon, but it can still be customized to use in a similar way. By using a shorter barrel and laser, it can create close quarter combat situations. Oden has a surprisingly high hip fire accuracy so you can also attempt using the Merc Foregrip as well. Since the weapon itself uses 12.7mm ammo, the damage is quite high and before SMGs can pellet through you, if your aim is good enough, you would be able to down your enemies very quickly. Especially with the Stopping Power Rounds field upgrade.
