On the 8th (KST), Jung “SinOoh” SinWoo, a pro Fortnite player under T1 Entertainment & Sports, donated 260,000,000 KRW (roughly $220,000) to his old high school, Buil Electronic Design High School, located in Busan, South Korea. As both streamer and a pro player, SinOoh’s consistent good deeds continues to garner attention from many esports fans around the world.

SinOoh competed in the Fornite World Cup last year, which was held from July 27th to the 29th, in New York, U.S. With his duo partner, Oking, they came in 2nd place in the Pro-Am tournament and earned $250,000 USD each in prize money. SinOoh donated most of his prize money to his high school in order to thank his teacher for guiding him in his career path.

Last April, SinOoh also previously donated 150,000,000 KRW (roughly $120,000 USD), the prize money that he earned by coming in 1st place in the solo mode of ‘Fortnite Korea Open’ and the duo mode prize money to Ajou University Hospital Southern Gyeonggi-do Severe trauma Center. He commented, “I really respect Professor Lee Guk-jong and the trauma center, who works so hard to save people in critical condition”. Furthermore, he was also recognized for his contributions in making the welfare of the regional education, so on Dec. 18th, 2019, he received a letter of appreciation from alongside the baseball player for the Lotte Giants, Lee Dae-ho and Son Ah-seop.

On Jan. 8th, 2020, during the donation ceremony, he commented, “As a player on the world renowned esports team, T1, I’m thrilled to be able to support a lot of my juniors through the prize money that I earned. To all my fans, please continue to send much love and support to me and my team, T1.”

SinOoh also plans to donate to his former middle school, Yeongnam Middle school, to aid in the school’s growth.
