Riot Games said the decision was made as the situation has been rapidly changing recently due to the new coronavirus, which, among other things, determined that preemptive preventive measures were needed to protect the health and safety of athletes, visitors and officials. Ticket sales slated for this Friday will also be suspended for the time being, depending on the zero-tolerance measure. The LCK's opening media day, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday before the opening, was canceled.

The league will be played as a zero-tolerance game, but it will establish and implement various measures to prevent infection and transmission of athletes and officials who come to the scene for the games.

No specific time has been set for the measure to be lifted, and the government plans to provide guidance on measures that will be applied flexibly in line with the changing.
