Yesterday, Riot announced their expansion of the co-streaming pilot for the League of Legends Championship Series, and today they extended that to include Academy games as well. Now any League Partners in NA and OCE and LCS pros and Academy players can co-stream the official broadcast and add their own commentary.

Academy will feature a new format this year, and they will be much more integrated into the LCS scene. This co-stream amendment further increases their relevance, because streamers who co-stream LCS games can continue their commentary through the Academy games as well.

Maybe LCS pros will commentate their own team's Academy games, giving unique insight to the players' strengths and styles. This is yet another way Riot is helping increase the relevance and importance of NA Academy, which is ever growing in importance with such little domestic talent.
