The first Final Summoning

Nearly one year ago, the inaugural Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour concluded with the Red Bull Final Summoning at The Majestic Downtown in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, January 27. Seven of the eight seeds in the Finals bracket represented the potential holders of the seven Dragon Balls, each winnable at a respective Saga Event along the road of the tour, with the final competitor winning a Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday, January 26 to secure the eighth seed.

Multiple LCQs ended up being held due to the utter dominance displayed throughout the tour by Ryota “Kazunoko” Inoue. Kazunoko was the first competitor to qualify for the top 8 at Final Summoning by winning the One-Star Dragon Ball at CEO 2018, but the GODSGARDEN ace was just getting started. Kazunoko entered The Majestic Downtown holding the One Star, Five Star, Six Star, and Seven Star Dragon Balls on his way to becoming the inaugural DBFZ champion.

The introduction of circuit points throughout the second run of the World Tour, as well as the expansion from eight finalist seeds to sixteen, has created more opportunities for the consistent top competitors in the DBFZ community.

The current leaderboard standings heading into the Finals, as well as other information about the World Tour itself, can be found on its official website. Tickets to attend the World Tour Finals as a spectator can be purcased via the event's Eventbrite page.
