After two years as the primary host of the Overwatch League's analyst desk for two seasons, Chris Puckett is starting a new chapter of his career. Puckett uploaded a vlog to his twitter documenting the changes in his life and career after two years of hosting at Blizzard Arena in Burbank, CA.

Puckett started the video off by announcing that his wife, Molly, had gotten a promotion that brought them back to New York, NY. The couple had previously lived in NYC for 11 years, and had moved out to the west coast for Puckett's hosting gig at Overwatch League before the inaugural season started in 2018.

Puckett plans to freelance primarily in Overwatch League and the Call of Duty League, the latter being the newest iteration of the last competitive scene Puckett established himself in before OWL. Puckett also expressed excitement in returning to his roots in addition to CoD with Halo and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and plans on getting more familiar with Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, and APEX Legends.

Puckett's parting of ways with OWL seems entirely logistical and amicable, and the host had some words for his former colleagues, as well as some advice for his would-be successor:"I want to give a special shoutout to everyone that is still working on the Overwatch League; shoutout to whoever will be taking over as the host; make sure they get you a talkback button so you can talk to the producer!”

Puckett finished the video by emphasizing how much his colleagues within the Overwatch League in all aspects had become like family to him during his time in southern California. “I want to thank everyone who has been a part of our lives for the last two years on the west coast," Puckett said.  "...I had such a great time working on this show and coming into work was an absolute joy every single day.”

Puckett's announcement comes on the heels of OWL caster Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles, who announced one day prior that he would not be returning for the 2020 season due to creative and philosophical differences with the league's current leadership.
