On the 25th (KST), Gen.G took a landslide victory against GC Busan Ascension 2:0 in the round of 16 of the ‘2019 League of Legends KeSPA Cup ULSAN’, held at Nexon Arena. With incredible synergy with his team and his prowess on the champions, Gragas and Rek’sai, Kim “Clid” Tae-min played a huge part in his team’s victory.
The following is the post-match interview with the jungler for Gen.G. Clid.
Please share your thoughts on the victory.
It was the first match that I played with the new roster, and I think that we started off well.
How’s living with Gen.G?
We’re all around the same age, and we’re pretty close with one another, so spending my days under the same roof feels like I’m living with my IRL friends. Rascal, Bdd and I are the most talkative on the team (laughter).
Before your first game, what did you talk about with your coaching staff?
We talked about how we shouldn’t get complacent, and as long as we play like we did in scrims, we’ll be just fine.
How much do you think the team will improve?
It hasn’t been long since we started to build our team synergy, so we haven’t really thought too much into it. We’re only thinking about improving day by day, so we haven’t set a limit to ourselves.
Do you think you’ll be able to win this year’s KeSPA Cup?
I don’t like to get ahead of myself, so I’ll only focus on the match that’s in front of me.
How was the 2019 All-Stars?
I only remember going on dates with Peanut (laughter).
Lastly, are there any words that you’d like to share with your fans?
Although my results in the LCK in 2019 were good, my personal goal is to constantly improve myself. I’ll make sure to also give it my all with Gen.G.
