On the 20th of December (KST), KeSPA made an official announcement for the players of the 16 teams that will be competing in the 2019 KeSPA Cup Round 1. Round 1 of the tournament will take place at the Nexon Arena from December 23th to 31st. The top 4 teams in the 2019 Championship Points, T1, Griffin, DAMWON Gaming, and SANDBOX Gaming, are granted a bye into the second round of the quarterfinals.
