Hero Esports’ Asian Champions League will add VALORANT to its slate of esports titles for its inaugural tournament in the first half of 2025.
The ACL, Asia’s premier multi-title competition, previously announced six games—Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Honor of Kings, Teamfight Tactics, Delta Force and Crossfire. With VALORANT now joining the lineup, organizers hinted that additional titles may be revealed in the coming months.
In a further boost to the tournament’s profile, champions from the ACL CS2 and Honor of Kings events will earn direct entry to the Esports World Cup as part of a continued collaboration with the event’s organizers. Further partnership details for the remaining titles are expected to be announced later.
The VALORANT tournament is set to be the only international-level competition for the game held in China during the first half of 2025. The finals, which will take place offline in Shanghai, are expected to draw top teams from around the world and will feature world-class production values and cutting-edge live broadcasting technology.
Jonny Wang, CEO of the ACL, said the inclusion of VALORANT underscores the tournament’s ambition to offer a comprehensive platform for diverse competitions and deliver exciting content to fans. Danny Tang, co-founder and CEO of Hero Esports, added that the tournament’s progress, marked by the attraction of elite teams and titles, reflects a strong collaborative spirit with partners such as the Esports World Cup Foundation.
Founded in 2016 and based in Shanghai, Hero Esports is Asia’s largest esports organization, producing more than 7,000 matches annually for an audience of over 800 million. The company operates from 12 offices and eight top-tier esports arenas, and has hosted marquee events including the Olympic Esports Week, Esports World Cup, and competitions at the Asian Games.
The ACL will offer a total prize pool of $2 million, with finals for the CS2 and Honor of Kings tournaments slated for May.
