Thank You for Your Support! Celebrating the Game Awards Grand Prize with an SSR Sung Jinwoo Weapon Selection Chest and a Legendary Blessing Stone.

To celebrate Solo Leveling: ARISE being selected for the 2024 Korea Game Awards, special appreciation rewards will be distributed. Starting November 13, previously announced gifts have already begun distribution. In addition, players above Level 30 will receive 20 Rate Up Draw Tickets and 20 Custom Draw Tickets, while players above Level 50 will receive 30 Custom Draw Tickets and a Legendary Blessing Stone Selection Chest.

Since the Legendary Blessing Stone is a selection chest rather than a random reward, it is highly recommended for players who have been waiting for a specific stone to claim this reward. The newly added level rewards will be distributed starting November 21 and can be claimed until January 31, 2025.

Roguelike Content Arrives in Solo Leveling! Introducing the Simulation Gate System

To support hunters' growth, the Hunter Association has introduced the Simulation Gate, a new feature in Hunter Mode that allows players to experience diverse combat and non-combat environments. This "roguelike" content is designed to test strength and foster growth through continuous gameplay, with progress carry-over and periodic rewards available.

The combat is centered around a concept where hunters’ abilities are "memorized" for virtual battles. Players will face varied combat scenarios, including battles against two hunters simultaneously as enemies. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to face hunters you’ve fought alongside before, the Simulation Gate provides an answer. The final boss is none other than Sung Jinwoo, offering a completely different experience from traditional large-scale boss battles.

Non-combat event stages appear throughout, allowing players to recover lost health, revive fallen hunters, or reconfigure their team. Players can also acquire and enhance exclusive buffs to further strengthen their hunters.

Additionally, the Simulation Gate introduces a unique mastery system called Effect Amplification. By unlocking nodes, players can gain additional effects during simulation gameplay, further enhancing their strategies.

Enhance Artifacts with Additional Stats! New Growth System: Enchantment

The Enchantment system will allow players to further enhance artifacts by adding additional stats. Separate from existing options, this system increases the combat power provided by artifacts, potentially boosting team combat power by around 100,000. This makes it an excellent feature for players tackling high-difficulty content.

As with all enhancement systems in Solo Leveling, enchantments require a certain amount of gold. However, an update increasing overall gold rewards will help mitigate the gold consumption needed for enchantments.

There are no monetization elements associated with the enchantment system. Materials required for enchantments can be obtained by playing the newly introduced Simulation Gate content. Moreover, the system is designed as an accumulative growth model, minimizing randomness so that all players can reach the maximum potential with consistent gameplay.

A phrase that decorates me - Title Update

The Title System will be introduced to honor hunters who demonstrate exceptional skill, such as swiftly conquering challenging content. These titles serve as prestigious rewards, allowing players to showcase their achievements to others. Titles are displayed on various pages, including guild and ranking pages, enabling hunters to highlight their accomplishments within the community.

Prove Your Great Achievements! Challenge Medals

The Challenge Medals system will be added as a way for hunters to showcase their accomplishments in completing extremely difficult achievements. By achieving these feats, players can earn emblems, which can be displayed in a dedicated showcase. Up to three emblems can be selected for display, allowing other players to view your triumphs. The Challenge Medals update is scheduled for mid-December.

Luxis & Twin Head Ogre – Two New Bosses Added (Encore Mission, Instance Dungeon)

Two new bosses, Luxis and the Twin Head Ogre, will be introduced. As with previous bosses, they will include Proof of the Strong content, offering players the thrill of tackling new challenges.

Power of Destruction Weekly Content Update

The long-awaited update for the Power of Destruction will be implemented, transitioning it to a weekly content format. Given the substantial rewards the Power of Destruction has provided; adjustments have been made to ensure players won’t lose out on rewards with this shift from daily to weekly content.

From 15 to 10! Clearing Gates Adjustments

The daily gate play limit will be reduced from 15 times to 10 times, with an increase in rewards to balance the change. Mission requirements involving gate plays will also be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, the difficulty of S-rank gates, which many players found challenging, will be eased.

More Usable Than Ever? Sung Jinwoo QTE Usability Update

The usability of Sung Jinwoo's QTE skills is being revamped. One of the key skills, Shadow Step, previously required specific techniques to force its activation in scenarios like Break situations or Power of Destruction. To address this inconvenience, activation conditions are now more flexible. The skill can now trigger during Break moments, upon summoning Shadows, or through specific combat patterns such as the Clashing with Baran. Players no longer need to wait until the enemy is near groggy state to use Shadow Step effectively.

The usability of Death and Collapse is also being improved. Previously, bosses immune to crowd control effects like Knock Down or Airborne prevented QTE skill activation. Now, QTEs can be triggered even if the skills carrying those effects land on bosses, regardless of whether the status effect itself is applied.

Additionally, new runes are being added to Death and Collapse, skills that have seen limited use due to their weaker performance. These runes provide various enhancements such as Freeze, Break, or damage amplification effects. This expansion will significantly broaden combat strategies using QTE skills. As a result, the value of skills that activate Death and Collapse will also see a major boost.

Now Earn 5 Rewards for Story Content Clears! Growth Difficulty Adjustments

With the addition of various new systems, growth difficulty is also being further improved. Story chapter clear rewards are increasing from the previous 2 to 5, and this change will be retroactively applied to players who have already completed chapters.

New rewards are being added to the Battle Mission stages. Depending on the number of trophies collected in Normal, Hard, and Reverse modes, players can earn various rewards. In addition to standard items like shadow-related rewards, Essence stones, and draw tickets, the Reverse Battle Mission rewards now include legendary runes. This provides players with more opportunities to obtain runes, including those for newly added QTE skills.

The story difficulty is also being significantly lowered with this update. Players can now progress smoothly and claim all the clear rewards along the way.

Finally Arrived! New Hunter Thomas Andre

The powerful National-Level Hunter, Thomas Andre, has finally made his debut. Designed to switch seamlessly between Transformed Form and Human Form upon using his ultimate skill, Thomas benefits from a cooldown reset on his abilities, allowing for explosive damage output during this state.

Additionally, Thomas reflects his abilities from the original story, featuring a unique barrier that enhances his performance in challenging content like Power of Destruction and Guild Boss Battles. This makes him a formidable addition to any team seeking overwhelming power.

Unleash Powerful Damage Through Charging! Sung Jinwoo’s New Weapon, Demonic Club

A new weapon, Demonic Club, will be introduced. Featuring fast and concise combat motions, it delivers a satisfying impact in battle. This new weapon will be added on December 5.

Revive Failed Artifacts! Enhancement Reset Event

An Enhancement Reset Event will be held, allowing players to reset already-enhanced artifacts. While the type of base options remains unchanged, players can attempt to re-enhance the artifact. This event is particularly beneficial for those whose additional stats were not distributed as desired during the enhancement process, providing an opportunity to reset and try again.

Thought It Was Over? More Legendary Runes and SSR Sung Jinwoo Weapons! Winter Events

The Winter Events bring even more rewards. Starting November 28, players can participate in attendance events and dice mini-games to obtain an SSR Sung Jinwoo Weapon Chest and a Heroic Blessing Stone. Then, beginning December 5, the Winter Treasure Hunt Event kicks off, offering players a chance to acquire Legendary Runes.

These updates are part of broader efforts to ease the game’s difficulty while enhancing the enjoyment of clearing various content. Players need not worry about the release of higher-tier items impacting their current progress or rewards.

Developer Q&A

Q: The game runs slowly on mobile devices. When will this be resolved?

As mentioned earlier, the development team has formed a task force (TF), and visible results will be included in this update. We have optimized resource-heavy elements that consume memory and worked on reducing device overheating. Improvements will continue to ensure a smoother gaming experience in the future.

Q: It’s inconvenient that the debuff skill of Defense Decreases overlap with Shadow Step.

Defense Decrease skills are generally classified in the same category, and when used simultaneously, only the skill with the higher defense reduction effect is applied. Therefore, you don’t need to stress too much about which effect is active. However, effects like Choi Jong-In’s Defense Reduction, which apply separately, will be reviewed further, and we will provide additional clarification.

Q: Tasks are continuously being simplified, but 'missions' remain unchanged and inconvenient.

Along with task simplifications, updates to make mission completion easier will be applied in the November 28 update.

Q: It’s too difficult to acquire Level 78 Artifacts.

We’ve held internal meetings on this issue. Previously, Level 78 Artifacts could only be farmed exclusively in Workshop of Brilliant Light, but now they are mixed with other artifacts, which some players find inconvenient. Although the overall supply has increased statistically, we understand it may feel insufficient. We are hosting a guaranteed crafting event and planning additional events to provide more opportunities to obtain these artifacts.

Q: Will Proof of the Strong be applied to Workshop of Brilliant Light?

The Workshop of Brilliant Light is already set at a very high difficulty level. However, there are players who have cleared it and are looking for even greater challenges. The development team is preparing to add more challenging conditions to the hard difficulty, along with prestigious rewards for those who conquer it.

Q: Can we have rage rewards above level 15 for Guild Boss battles?

Initially, reaching level 14 rage was considered the pinnacle of Guild Boss battles. Over time, however, players have developed optimized setups, including specialized Hunter combinations and rune configurations for these battles. This level of progress is truly impressive, and we are currently preparing to expand rage rewards to accommodate this advanced play.

Live Q&A

Q: Can you add a "Best Play" feature to Workshop of Brilliant Light?

We’ll consider this from the perspective of reducing task burden and explore how it can be implemented.

Q: Is reroll improvement still difficult to implement?

As mentioned previously, rerolling is not an easy feature to adjust. Instead, we’re considering increasing opportunities to acquire legendary items, which would improve overall availability.

Q: Mini-game guild missions are too hard to complete.

Both small and large guilds struggle because only a few members actively participate. Although these missions were intended to be minor diversions, we’ll lower their difficulty to make them more manageable.

Q: It’s too hard to level up Hunters one by one.

We’ll prioritize developing a feature that allows Hunters to level up collectively, making this process more efficient.

Q: Shadow upgrades are too difficult.

With the increased rewards for story progression, the availability of shadow growth materials has also been boosted. This should help alleviate the difficulty.

Q: Can you add a recommended artifact feature?

When we tested with a newly joined team member unfamiliar with Solo Leveling: ARISE, he struggled to understand artifacts during gameplay. This highlighted the need for easier artifact navigation. We’re working on a feature to recommend artifact sets and guide Hunter skill sequences to assist players.

Q: Is there a roadmap for updates after December?

We’ve discussed plans for 2025 with the business department. Once the details are finalized, we’ll share them officially. Since we must adhere to any roadmap we announce, we aim to provide updates in the next or subsequent streams.

Q: Are there plans to enhance benefits for new/returning players?

We’re already offering growth materials and recruitment tickets to help nurture more Hunters. Additionally, we’re easing daily task requirements through gradual updates. This is an excellent time for players to return.

Q: Can Hunter skins be sold individually?

Currently, Hunter skins are sold as part of packages, which some players find expensive. We’re planning to offer some skins on sale or as standalone items in the near future.

Q: Will there be updates to shadows? I’m tired of seeing Beru die.

As teased in previous broadcasts, we’re working on enhancing shadows to make them grow even stronger.

Q: Are there plans for collaborations?

We’re discussing various possibilities. Once any collaboration is finalized, we’ll share the details with the community.
