Hasan Piker had the DMCA strike he received from Twitch on Saturday for watching MasterChef retracted by Twitch on Monday, according to screenshots of an email from Twitch shared by the streamer on Monday. According to the email, the DMCA notification targeting content on your channel was processed by mistake.

Twitch said in the email: "We discovered that a DMCA notification targeting content on your channel was processed by mistake. Measures have been taken to reinstate the affected content where applicable, and we have removed any penalty associated with the notification."

Hasan also posted on a Discord channel on Monday that the copyright strike for MasterChef was sent by someone with an email from the Fox News Network, not The Fox Broadcasting Company, claiming it was Irena Briganti, the Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications at Fox News. Fox News does not own Master Chef, The Fox Broadcasting Company does. As a result, Hasan declared the DMCA a troll, though he did not provide evidence of this claim about the email address.

As a result of the strike retraction, it is possible streamers will return to watching MasterChef, since the only reason it was declared dead was because of Hasan's DMCA strike over the weekend.
