PITTSBURGH – Robert Morris University Esports is proud to announce its partnership with PNC Bank. The partnership with PNC further strengthens an existing relationship between two Pittsburgh area organizations. PNC has recently gotten involved in the esports scene through their partnership with the Pittsburgh Knights on the "Women in Esports Steering Committee," where RMU Director of Campus Recreation, Armand Buzzelli has served with other esports leaders and been part of their podcast.
When asked about the partnership, Buzzelli says, "We'd really like to thank PNC for their generous support of our program. It says a lot about PNC as a forward thinking organization to identify our collegiate esports program for a potential partnership. I think they understand all of the transferable skills that esports provides its participants." Buzzelli points recent data on the program where nearly 90% of our competitive players focused their studies in either STEM or business related majors. "Those students come out prepared both academically, but also from the standpoint that they can use sophisticated technology at a high level, which should be attractive to potential employers."
