QUByte Interactive unveiled two new titles, “Lighthouse of Madness” and “The Tale of Mara and Moa,” during the Coelho Awards 2024 broadcast on Rodrigo Coelho’s channel, marking a notable addition to the publisher’s lineup. Both games are planned for release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. While the company has not announced a specific launch date, trailers for both titles were showcased during the event, offering an initial look at each game’s unique world and gameplay mechanics.
Developed by Flying Jack Studios, “Lighthouse of Madness” draws inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, promising an atmospheric storyline that tasks players with uncovering the secrets of a remote island. Central to the experience is the mysterious lighthouse at the heart of the narrative, where the boundary between sanity and madness is constantly tested. According to QUByte Interactive, the game aims to immerse players in diverse environments that will challenge their logical thinking through intricate puzzle design. In addition, psychological tension is expected to play a key role in the gameplay, elevating the sense of unease and uncertainty as players progress.
In contrast, “The Tale of Mara and Moa,” developed by Cabana Game Studio, takes a more colorful approach, blending action RPG elements with nostalgia for 1990s classics. The game follows two protagonists on a quest to save their village from impending danger, all while exploring a vibrant island setting. Levels range from tropical forests and ancient ruins to serene beaches and hidden swamps. Aside from engaging in combat, players will need to solve puzzles, acquire new skills, and collect ingredients to craft items and recipes that may prove pivotal to their mission.
QUByte Interactive has not detailed additional features or release windows, but the publisher encourages fans to visit its official channels for further updates. Both titles have been met with early interest from viewers of the Coelho Awards, who cited the blend of storytelling, puzzle-solving, and distinct visual styles as highlights of the initial reveal.
