East Meets West: Yogscast and Gamersky Unite to Bring Global Spotlight to Indie Games

Yogscast Games and Gamersky Games have announced a new partnership aimed at offering comprehensive publishing support for independent game developers. The collaboration brings together Yogscast Games, known for indie hits like PlateUp! and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, with Gamersky Games, a major player in China's games media and digital publishing space.

The partnership is designed to leverage local expertise to help indie games reach a global audience, regardless of their origin. The first two games set to launch under this agreement are Border Pioneer and Stray Path, both developed in China with strong international potential.

Border Pioneer, from Yahzj Games, is a pixel-style city-building game that incorporates survival, deckbuilding, and tower defense mechanics. It is scheduled for release later this year. Stray Path, developed by chx games, is an adventure-strategy title combining Freecell gameplay with roguelike card mechanics. It will launch in the coming months.

“We’ve worked with Gamersky informally for some time and have admired their ability to make a significant impact within China and beyond," said Simon Byron, managing director at Yogscast Games. "Now, we’re excited to formalize our relationship and bring games like Border Pioneer and Stray Path to a global audience."

Brandon Zhang, director of Gamersky Games, added, “We’ve enjoyed collaborating with Yogscast Games and are eager to extend that partnership to global releases, combining regional expertise with worldwide campaigns."

Both games will be featured at Steam's October Next Fest.
