According to a report from a Korean publication, News1, Griffin top laner, Choi “Sword” Sung-won recently filed a police report on his former head coach (currently DragonX), Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho for assault.
Sword’s father told News1 that, “After Griffin was promoted to the LCK and as there were more important matches, cvMax continuously took violent measures and spewed harsh insults such as hitting the shoulder and saying things like ‘disgusting, can’t take it, I’ll kill you’”. He also mentioned that not only Sword but his whole family was hurt so deeply that they have been taking psychiatric treatment.
On this matter, cvMax had been clarifying his actions on stream that his feedback style was an act for the players’ own good and that they had agreed upon that style. He also said that he may have pressed a player’s shoulder hard, but he has never tormented or assaulted a player out of spite.
