The Superliga ABCDE 2019 happened this weekend in Brazil. The series runs an off-season league model, organized by the Brazilian Esports Clubs Association (ABCDE), features 12 associate teams that play through a best of three format, with double elimination brackets. The top 4 teams participate in Round 2, with a Grand Final featuring a best of five format.
Known for showcasing rookie talent, the league opens doors to many players trying to make it in the competitive scene. Uppercut Esports defeated the previous champion INTZ Esports. Mayumi said in a post-match statement:
"I would like to thank you all for the support I received today, but unfortunately, I have not reached the desired results. My first time competing in a high level league could not have been any more special and I am very grateful for all of you.
Thank you for everything, I hope to see you next year."
