The partnership includes the installation of a Game Fuel station in the RMU Esports Center
Moon Township, PA- RMU Esports has forged a new partnership with Mountain Dew AMP Game Fuel. Mountain Dew AMP Game Fuel is a drink developed specifically for gamers. The can comes with a unique resealable lid and no-slip grip texture to help prevent spills. With a carefully blend of ingredients including caffeine and theanine, it has been shown to increase alertness and accuracy. As part of the partnership, a dedicated Game Fuel cooler has been installed in the RMU Esports Center and team members will have access to Game Fuel beverages during sessions in the center.
RMU Esports is thrilled to have Mountain Dew AMP Game Fuel as a partner. Players point to both the taste and quality of Game Fuel as what separates it in the growing field of energy drinks aimed at competitive gamers. "Unlike other energy drinks Game Fuel has less caffeine but more vitamins and minerals with added focus enhancing elements to ensure I stay at peak performance and hydrated at all times," said Zachariah Ledonne, captain of the Rainbow 6 Siege team. Team president and League of Legends captain Jonathan Russell explained how the partnership helps further establish the program as a legitimate national contender, "I'm really excited to have our partnership with Game Fuel. It makes the team more enthusiastic and feel more recognized. I can't wait to have a can when we are competing versus other schools!"
This is the program's first corporate partner in its young history. Despite being in its first formal year as a varsity esports program, the Colonials have already made some big waves on the national scene. Already this fall, RMU Esports Rocket League made it to the Final Four of the NACE Collegiate Rocket League Tournament, narrowly missing a trip to DreamHack Atlanta for the NACE national championship. Recently President Dr. Christopher Howard joined the team for some action in the esports center and posted a video about it on his Instagram account:
The team also celebrated the partnership with a toast followed by some energy fueled game play:
