League of Legends Worlds Championship 2019 will come to an end this weekend, with finals being held in Paris, France. Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton officially partnered with League of Legends, creating in-game cosmetic items and designing a custom case for the Summoner's Cup, which will be awarded to the winning team this weekend.
This is also the first time Louis Vuitton has partnered with a video game compay in the esports capacity. Previously, the brand has partnered with Final Fantasy, bringing Lightning as their model, and earlier this year, they had made their first video game.
"Lightning pushes the idea of the heroine even further. It is logical that the Maison Louis Vuitton would explore the infinite possibilities of the virtual world and ask this fantasy character to interpret the essence of a heroine."
Maison Louis Vuitton has send the two finalist teams, FunPlus Phoenix and G2 Esports some serious swag. Each team member got a "Discovery Backpack", priced at $2,010.00 before taxes. That's quite the incredible gift.
Players were not the only ones to receive the maison's VIP treatment. Qiyana and Senna will get in-game Prestige skins designed by Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière. As we previously calculated, Qiyana's outfit would cost around $11,000.
