Bucharest Masters Tour took place this weekend with a prize pool of around $500,000. Canadian player Eddie "Eddie" Lui emerged victorious after facing a field of over 250 top Hearthstone players in the world, earning the title of Bucharest Masters Tour Champion, and just shy of $100,000.
Unfortunately, moments after he received his (quite frankly beautiful) trophy and raised it, it fell apart and died. The casters assured the audience the trophy would be fixed but that wouldn't erase the comical image of Hearthstone esports literally falling apart on stage.
Everyone involved seem to take the moment in stride, check out the exact moment it happened below.
From what it seems in the video, the Hearthstone rune placed up top has a hole for better attachment to the body of the trophy. That is a quite common procedure in trophy making, it just seems like this time they used Elmer's glue instead of E6000. sad trumpet
