On the 15th, RNG took down Fnatic in day 4 of the group stages in the 2019 LoL World Championship. Despite the eccentric draft that Fnatic had prepared with the Morgana-Blitzcrank bot lane, RNG triumphed over Fnatic to go 2-1 in the last match of round 1 in the group stages.
RNG’s jungler, Hung ‘Karsa’ Hao-Hsuan joined Laure Valée on the official Riot Games English broadcast to share his thoughts about the victory.
Were you expecting such a composition from Fnatic?
We’ve seen them play a lot of Garen-Yuumi, so we predicted that they will be playing mages bot lane.
I want to point out Langx. He was considered a weak link in the team, but today, his performance on Gnar, especially his initiations, were stellar. What did you think about his performance today?
I think he’s done well in all 3 of the games in the group stages. He’s shown massive improvements, and he’s been doing well so far.
Tell me about the last teamfight. You were defending the Baron, and Uzi was flashing in, so what were the in-game communications like within the team?
Kayle was their only source of damage, so it was a very desperate Baron attempt by them. We knew that if they didn’t take the Baron, they’d lose, so we made sure to focus on Kayle and shut her down.
Does it make you proud to see all these fans cheering for you?
It makes me very happy. I almost forgot that we were in Europe, because of all these chants and cheers in Chinese.
