The largest esports event of the world is approaching. In a few days the League of Legends World Championship kicks off with the Play-In stage, in search of the best team the continents have to offer. Naturally, this is tied to another in-game event with the shiniest loot of the year. The Worlds 2019 event runs from September 26, 21:00 BST until November 19, 19:00 GMT.

Here's an overview of everything you can earn for free, what the event pass nets you and which items are up for grabs in the shop.

Daily quests

Like during any other event in League of Legends, special daily quests will reward players with special tokens. In total, players can earn 400 Worlds 2019 tokens over the course of the events. Every week new daily quests will appear, but don't worry: it appears that you'll have the entire event's duration to complete them.

After playing 30 matchmade games you're awarded with an event orb. This is guaranteed to contain a skin shard, and has a chance to contain a Gemstone Skin, a Gemstone or a Worlds 2019 jackpot.

Worlds 2019 event pass

Naturally, if you whip out your wallet more doors open. For 1650 Riot Point, which converts to roughly $13 USD or €12 if you buy the cheapest bundle with enough RPs, you can buy the Worlds 2019 Pass. This will reward you immediately with a player icon, 200 extra Worlds tokens and 4 more Worlds orbs.

The Worlds 2019 Pass also gives players objectives to complete and milestones to reach. Objectives reward tokens, and will hand out rewards as follows:

Milestones work differently. They require you to earn points by playing Summoner's Rift, ARAM or Teamfight Tactics matches. If you win one (finish first to fourth in TFT), you're awarded 5 points. If you lose one (finish fifth to eigth in TFT), 2 points are added to your total. With the accumulated poitns you progress towards reaching milestones, which reward the following upon completion:
