On January 24th (PST), Overwatch’s limited-time event celebrating the Lunar New Year kicked off. The event, which will last approximately three weeks, features various exclusive items, including skins, sprays, and emotes. Additionally, players can participate in Capture the Rooster in the Arcade.

Capture the Rooster is essentially Blizzard’s take on CTF mode in which teams try to capture the enemy team’s flag and bring it to the friendly base. This new game mode will emphasize cooperation and composition as players must take the enemy flag while defending their own. Also, players can use their mobility abilities while transporting the flag, so heroes like Winston and Tracer will be favored. In the cosmetics department, players won’t be disappointed to see new limited skins such as Palanquin D.Va in a traditional Korean dress and Tal Ana in a Hahoetal mask. Other skins influenced by Journey to the West like Wukong Winston and Bajie Roadhog as well as Luna Mei commemorating the Year of the Rooster can also be found in Lunar Loot Boxes.

Hopefully, you have some credit left over from Winter Wonderland event because the Year of the Rooster along with all its limited-time items and the new CTF mode ends on February 13th.
