With Counter Logic Gaming's 3-2 reverse sweep of Clutch for 3rd place in the 2019 LCS Summer Playoffs, the 2019 LCS Regional Final gauntlet has been set.
Cloud9 and Team Liquid will both qualify for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship as the 1st and 2nd representatives from North America. The winner of the Final will auto-qualify as the LCS Summer Champion, whereas the runner-up will have the most circuit points of the unqualified teams in North America. Two weeks after the Finals, the four of the remaining 8 LCS squads with the most circuit points will be ordered from lowest to highest to decide the 3rd seed for Worlds.
TSM was eliminated by Clutch Gaming in the 2019 LCS Summer Quarterfinals, but the team's Spring Finals appearance places it at the top of the gauntlet. CLG and Clutch Gaming were tied for points heading into the weekend, but CLG soidified the second spot in the gauntlet after the 3-2 win in the 3rd place match. FlyQuest, who missed the Summer Playoffs entirely with a ninth place finish in the regular season, will start at the bottom of the gauntlet thanks to its Spring Semifinals qualification.
On Friday, September 6th, FlyQuest will face Clutch Gaming in a best-of-five series. The winner of that series will face Counter Logic Gaming on Saturday, and the winner of the second series will play against TSM on Sunday to decide who will represent the LCS at Worlds 2019 with Team Liquid and Cloud9.
