Canyon is the 2019 LCK Summer Split MVP.

DAMWON Gaming jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu has won the 2019 LCK Summer Split regular season MVP award. As Canyon won MVP in Game 3 of their last match against Gen.G Esports, he accumulated a total of 1,000 MVP points and stepped ahead of Park “Summit” Woo-tae by 100 points.

“I really didn’t expect to win,” said Canyon, “Now that I did get MVP, I’m really happy. I’d like to aim for winning MVP again next split.” Canyon will be receiving 5M Korean Won (≒4,128 USD) for the award.

With the help of Canyon, DAMWON Gaming ended the regular season at 2nd place. They will head straight to the semifinals to face the winner of the playoffs match.
