TSM has thrown its hat in the Rainbow 6 Siege ring for the first time by signing the entirety of the roster previously under the Excelerate Gaming banner.
The former Excelerate Gaming roster of Matthew "Achieved" Solomon, Khalil "b1ologic" Pleas, Jason "Beaulo" Doty, Tommy "Krusher" Samuel, and Bryan "Merc" Wrzek was acquired by TSM in full. The team of five will join their coach Owen "Pojoman" Mitura will officially be representing TSM in the Rainbow Six Pro League. In April, their 6th place finish in the League secured their spot for the upcoming Season.
The new TSM squad earned its place in the North American R6 Pro League after winning the Season 8 Challenger League last year while with Excelerate. An official statement from the roster regarding the acquisition was made in the official press release on TSM's website:
"It really is a dream come true to be part of TSM. We’ve watched TSM play in multiple games over the past several years, and never thought one day we would be part of it. This has been the goal for all of us - grind it out in Challenger and make it to the Pro League. We’re looking forward to the upcoming season with this new roster, and we’re truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team and this organization."
TSM is one of the most prestiguous, long-standing organizations in North American esports. The new brand might be just what the squad needs to take push past its limits and take things to the next level.
The TSM Rainbow 6 Siege team will play its first game on June 17th, 2019.
