The Dallas Fuel looks stronger as the season progresses. In Stage 1, they missed the stage playoffs landing at 9th place. In Stage 2, they became a more cohesive team with players stepping up like Min-seok "OGE" Son and Dylan "aKm" Bignet. They also acquired Lucas "NotE" Meissner, who complimented the Fuel's playstyle. As a result, they qualified for the Stage 2 playoffs.
Before the Stage 2 playoffs, they bolstered their strong tank lineup with a player that has potential to be a superstar, Ashley "Trill" Powell. He became a household name in the professional scene during the 2018 Overwatch World Cup playing for Team Australia, where he was dominant on heroes such as Winston and Wrecking Ball. Trill was previously playing for the Fuel's Academy team, Team Envy, where he helped the team to win Contenders Season 1: North America West.
Trill is going to be the 2nd Australian player to be in the Overwatch League. He will join a current Fuel tank lineup consisting of all-star OGE and solid tank NotE. He is able to learn the ropes from veterans like Pongphop "Mickie" Rattanasangchod, Timo "Taimou" Kettunen, and Jonathan "HarryHook" Tejedor Rua and be groomed into the role once the Fuel feels he is ready for the big stage. After a disappointing Season 1, there is no doubt that the Fuel can only go up from here.
