At CES 2017, MSI received three Innovation Awards for two of their products - a slim-but-powerful gaming laptop and a VR gaming backpack.

Though, before we talk about the products that received the Innovation Award, let's take a look at the laptop with power that puts desktop computers to shame - the MSI GT83.

The 'MSI GT83' comes with the latest i7 processor and twin GTX 1080 video cards. It also comes with a built-in mechanical keyboard to show that it is made with gamers in mind.

GT83's lighter cousin, GS63, is packed with GTX 1060, but its aluminum alloy slim chassis allows it to weigh just below 2 kilograms while still being sturdy. This particular model was an honoree of Innovation Awards in CES 2017 for the Virtual Reality category as well.

The other two remaining awards were given to the 'MSI VR One' for 'Tech For A Better World' and 'Gaming' category. Weighing in at 3.6kg, it is significantly lighter than most VR gaming backpacks. Also, it's hot-swappable two battery packs allow it to run for an hour and a half at full throttle.

MSI expects that this product will not only be able to be used for personal gaming, but also for other activities like VR theme park and non-gaming purposes.
