Sleepy parts ways with San Francisco Shock, joins Washington Justice

NRG Esports Overwatch League Franchise San Francisco Shock and Flex Support Nikola "Sleepy" Andrews have parted ways. SF Shock made the announcement via twitter on April 19, 2019 a few hours before the start of the Overwatch League broadcast that Sleepy is now a member of the Washington Justice.

Sleepy was one of the original members signed to the SF Shock in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. Despite a 9th place finish, Sleepy impressed in his debut season, showcasing impressive play on Mercy before switching back to his original role of Flex Support once Grant "Moth" Espe joined the team in the Support position.

Sleepy's move to the Washington Justice makes sense on all sides. Minki "Viol2t" Park has started in the Flex Support position for the entirety of the Shock's second season thus far, and the Washington Justice have yet to find a proper partner in their back line for Hong "Ark" Yeon-joon. Sleepy is absolutely a starter caliber player in the Overwatch League and should round out the Washington Justice's starting lineup.

Sleepy has yet to say anyting formal on the move, but his most recent tweet suggests that while the opportunity to start must be exciting, parting ways with teammates you have formed friendships for a long time is not always easy:

The Washington Justice face-off against the Los Angeles Valiant at 7:30pm PDT later today. Whether Sleepy will be starting has yet to be confirmed.
