V1per, originally a popular streamer known for his high level Riven play, signed to Team Liquid as a streamer before joining the starting lineup of Team Liquid Academy before the 2018 season. V1per accompanied TL to the 2018 League of Legends World Championship as the team's representative substitute, and was signed by FlyQuest ahead of the 2019 LCS Spring Split to replace Lee "Flame" Ho-Jong, who had parted ways with the team in free agency.

V1per was praised for his easy transition to the LCS stage, and limited the amount of ways even the strongest North American Top Laners could expose him. As the split went on, V1per became a strength for FlyQuest, even taking a handful of games with carry performances on his signature Riven. In 19 games played [FlyQuest had an end of the season tiebreaker against Golden Guardians], V1per played a total of 11 champions to the tune of a 3.03 KDA on the split.

In his acceptance interview with Ovilee May, V1per talked about the importance of his team's trust in his Riven pick and showed poise well beyond his years. The young top laner mentioned that despite his strong first split, he hasn't quite met his usual standards.

V1per will face off against his mentor, Jeong "Impact" Eon-young, when FlyQuest takes on Team Liquid in the 2019 LCS Spring Semifinals on Sunday, April 7 at 11:30am PST.
