Overwatch’s first established organization has decided to dissolve itself.

REUNITED announced via their official website that they will cease all operations, and have allowed their players to pursue new opportunities. One of the main reasons for disbanding is that Overwatch League conflicted with the team’s financial model, so they could not bring in enough money.

In the post, REUNITED said that, “everyone involved with the organization had high hopes for our future together, but things don't always go like they are supposed to. We are sorry to disappoint our loyal fanbase but hope that you will continue to support the Reunited players in the future.”

After being established last January as the first premier Overwatch organization, REUNITED made a name for themselves in numerous tournaments including Overwatch Lan at Gamescom, ELEAGUE, and APEX.

Hendrik-William “vallutaja” Kinks tweeted that the team members will stay together while looking for more options.
