$200,000 Prize Pool and Determines Top Regional Teams Heading to Live Playoffs in Sydney, Australia

Palo Alto, Calif. – Feb. 1 – Tencent today detailed how Season 3 of the Valor Series, its established esports proving grounds where the most formidable Western Arena of Valor teams can elevate their status from regional to global powerhouses, will progress ahead of its kickoff this Saturday, Feb. 2.

Top grassroots and professional talent from North America, Latin America, and Europe will face regional rivals in separate divisions across an eight-week season, with matches set for each weekend from tomorrow through March 23. With Season 3’s open qualifiers now completed, the Valor Series’ North American division has been established by six fearsome teams; BMGaming, PrideStark Empire, Dino Riders, Minority, YD Alpha, and Just4Fun.

Each of Season 3’s divisions will follow a best-of-3 group round-robin structure, from which each territory’s four best performing teams will advance to the Valor Series’ playoffs held live in Sydney, Australia. Dates for the Valor Series inter-regional playoffs have also been confirmed to be April 6-7, which will be taking place at ESL Studio Sydney. More details will follow about how the playoff winners will progress to further international tournaments.

Every division’s prizes will be awarded following the structure below, with an additional overall MVP prize of $5,000 to be awarded to Season 3’s standout player:

• 1st Place: 20,000 US dollars
• 2nd Place: 15,000 US dollars
• 3rd Place: 10,000 US dollars
• 4th Place: 10,000 US dollars
• 5th Place: 6,000 US dollars
• 6th Place: 4,000 US dollars
