On the 28th, Riot Games officially announced that the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational is going to be held in Asia.

With this event marking their first ever major international event host, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will host the Play-In Stage and Group Stage. After, Taipei will be hosting the Semifinals and Finals (Knockout Stage).

Riot Games has said "Most recently 2018 saw the launch of the Vietnam Championship Series, a new regional league which can qualify teams directly into the World Championship. We wanted to recognize the tremendous progress of the region and the enthusiasm of its players by hosting one of our biggest events there."

The schedule for 2019 MSI will be as following:

¤ Play-In Stage (Location: Ho Chi Minh City)

• Round 1 Dates: May 1st - May 4th

• Round 2 Dates: May 5th - May 7th

¤  Group Stage (Location: Hanoi)

• Dates: May 10th - May 14th

¤  Knockout Stage (Location: Taipei)

• Dates: May 17th - May 19th

Riot has also revealed that the tickets for the 2019 MSI will be available for purchase starting in mid-March. Information regarding venues and further information will also be released alongside ticket information.
