Tricked eSport signed The Damascus Boys in preparation for the 2017 European season of the Heroes Global Championship (HGC).
The Damascus Boys qualified for HGC during the second qualifier, with a decisive 3-0 victory over Diamond Skin. The roster features several former Natus Vincere members, including AlexTheProG, ethernal, and Crozzby. Relative newcomers Remmerballer and Gnappe will also be joining them to round out the team.
Tank player Alexander “AlexTheProG” Grumstrup’s most recent role on Dignitas ended in retirement, but with the announcement of HGC, he has come out of retirement with renewed passion.
"I'm very excited to be joining Tricked eSport, an up-and-coming Danish organization. With their support, we will assuredly reach our full potential whilst having a great time in the HGC,” he commented in a statement. “In joining, we also hope to establish Tricked eSport as a major contender in the HotS scene," he added.
Tricked also has minor teams in CS:GO, Call of Duty, FIFA, and League of Legends. Heroes of the Storm will be uncharted territory for the Danish organization as they participate in their first premier league. Nonetheless, their roster a formidable one and will likely do well.
The team will be playing in the European HGC league. Weekly matches start in late January and continue until June.
