2018 Spring Split all-NA ADC Cody Sun took a step backward and joined Clutch Gaming Academy.
On the 12th of December, Clutch Gaming announced that they have acquired Cody “Cody Sun” Sun for their Academy team.
Cody Sun was recently released from 100 Thieves as a free agent. With the 100 Thieves, he played through 2018, becoming the ALl-NA AD Carry for the spring split. Clutch Gaming went through drastic changes during the stove league. They signed Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon and Tanner “Damonte” Damonte while sending Colin “Solo” Earnest, Apollo “Apollo” Price, and Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent to Echo Fox. Along with the changes, they called up Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin, who now qualifies as an NA player, and Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme from the academy.
