G2 Esports has finally confirmed all the rumors surrounding Caps and Perkz.
On the 29th of November, G2 Esports confirmed that they have acquired Rasmus “Caps” Winther and Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle for their team, and that Luka “Perkz” Perkovic will be transitioning to the bot lane. In the video G2 Esports posted on their Twitter with #KINGSUNITE, the changes were revealed and confirmed.
Caps has been playing for Fnatic for the past two seasons and was known as arguably the best mid laner in the west. He won MVP of 2018 EU LCS Summer Split and reached the finals of the 2018 Worlds with Fnatic. He will now be taking the starting mid laner spot for G2 Esports.
With Caps joining the team, Perkz will now be moving to the bot lane. Ever since rumors first spread that Caps would be joining G2 and Perkz would be moving to bot lane, Perkz had been speaking out around the rumor and was seen practicing ADCs in solo queue.
Mikyx played for Misfits Gaming in 2018; he had been to the 2016 World Championship with Splyce and Martin “Wunder” Hansen. They will now be reunited in G2.
With one of the biggest rumors of the stove league being confirmed, many fans are eager to see what sort of synergy this combination of players can bring to the team.
