On the 28th of November, Cody “Cody Sun” Sun and 100 Thieves mutually agreed upon making Cody Sun a free agent. As of this announcement, Cody Sun is now free to sign with any team he likes.

Previously, Cody Sun had mentioned that he was allowed to explore options for the 2019 season. However, after a couple weeks of exploring, he said through his Twitter that it seems that he will not be playing in the LCS next split and will be looking for other options in academy and other regions.

Cody Sun has been playing as the ADC of 100 Thieves during 2018. In the spring split, he led the team to a 1st place finish during the regular season and 2nd in the playoffs. He became the All-NA AD Carry for the split. During the summer split, there were issues of him being benched in the playoffs, with Richard “Rikara” Samuel Oh starting in his place. This continued on to Worlds and Cody Sun did not play a single game.

Meanwhile, 100 Thieves confirmed their starting roster for the 2019 season with Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, Andy “AnDa” Hoang, Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun, Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, and Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black.
