Dallas Fuel Sign Off-Tank Player Richard “rCk” Kanerva

DALLAS (November 11, 2018) – The Dallas Fuel signed Richard “rCk” Kanerva to a two-year contract, making him the ninth player on the Fuel roster for the 2019 season of the Overwatch League. The Finland-based esports player previously competed professionally for Team Gigantti, an EU Overwatch Contenders team. Team Gigantti and the Dallas Fuel negotiated his transfer.

An offtank specialist that can also play flex, rCk began his professional Overwatch career with the Finnish esports group ENCE Esports. After collecting several tournament wins, rCk was picked up by Team Gigantti and helped lead them to consecutive top four finishes in Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 1 and Season 2. rCk will move from Finland to Los Angeles in the coming months and begin practicing with the Dallas Fuel at the team’s training facility.

“rCk put together a great track record and highlight reel during Overwatch Contenders these last two seasons. We can tell from scrims he’s a leader and a personality that match with what we’re building at the Dallas Fuel,” said Aaron “Aero” Atkins, head coach of the Dallas Fuel.
