For four years, Jérôme "JayPL" Trinh has called Heroes of the Storm his home. Now, he's moving on to greener pastures as he has played his last competitive match.

After falling short in the Heroes Global Championship (HGC) BlizzCon grand finals to back-to-back world champion, Gen.G Esports, an emotional JayPL sat slumped in his computer chair, staring at the screen in front of him with a blank face. In the background, a crowd roared as the Korean powerhouse lifted the trophy in the air while confetti rained down on them.

Once the cheering concluded, a chant began to rise within the completely full viewing area in front of the stage while caused him to break a smile.

"JayPL! JayPL! JayPL!"

"It means a really, really lot to me. To have that many people cheering for the little person you are means a lot. It was amazing," said an emotional JayPL reflecting on his final match.

After taking a few seconds to gather his thoughts and take in the moment, JayPL said what he's going to miss the most about no longer being apart of the professional Heroes of the Storm scene after all this time.

"What I'm going to miss the most is winning and working together as a team. I'm going to miss raising the trophy too."

Spending the last three years as a part of the Dignitas organization, JayPL isn't exactly sure what his "greener pasture" will be in terms of his new career path but he's confident that he'll find his calling.

A normally very quiet and reserved individual, the Tank player was eager to give a final statement to the loyal fans for their years of love.

"Thanks to everyone for all of the support. I was able to live my dream."
