The latest title of the Diablo franchise has been revealed at BlizzCon this year; it is called Diablo Immortal, a mobile game currently in development by Blizzard and NetEase.
Diablo Immortal follows the part of the story that takes place between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. It contains new gear, skills, 8 unique locations, 7 instant dungeons, and new monsters. Players are to meet one another in West March and defeat the enemies who are attempting to destroy Sanctuary.
As gamers were expecting new PC Diablo content, the Q&A session took place in a rather quiet atmosphere. One visitor even directly asked if it was meant to be an April Fools joke. Below is the full text of the session.
Will we be able to see the Druid in Diablo Immortal?
Everybody has a vote, and I also vote for Druid.
How long was the development process?
We’ve been talking with NetEase for about 10 years. We’re also doing many Diablo projects.
When’ll it be released?
We’ll release it once it’s ready.
There was a character with hair flying around in the character selection screen. Is that one playable?
It actually appears in the game and you can check it out at the onsite demo.
Can a player set the skill tree freely?
We’re considering many options, but we can’t be certain for now. We need some more time.
Is Diablo Immortal exclusively on the mobile platform, or can it work on PC as well?
It’s mobile exclusive for now. It’ll be compatible with Android and iOS and we don’t have any plans for PC yet. Everybody has a cell phone, right?
How difficult is the game going to be?
I can’t give you a clear answer, but I can promise that it’ll give you a new Diablo-like experience. Also, we’ll make it so that players can manage the amount of content on their own depending on his/her condition or abilities.
Is there a Hardcore Mode in Diablo Immortal?
I’m not sure if the mobile platform can handle Hardcore Mode. There may be some instance where a character suddenly dies because of networking issues. We’ll have to think about it a bit more.
Is this an April Fools joke?
No, it'll be a complete Diablo experienc… on mobile. Everybody can enjoy it, and a new Sanctuary and heroes will be introduced. We’re really looking forward to it. And, we have always made improvements by looking at the past when releasing new titles. I’m certain that the experience we have from Diablo Immortal will surely be helpful when we release a different version of Diablo.
Why did you choose mobile? Hearthstone is a mobile game whereas Diablo is a PC game, and I don’t understand why you are trying to have a different player base.
We hope more people will visit BlizzCon, and that more people will play Diablo. Diablo Immortal is going to be a new opportunity for us to realize that dream. The mobile platform is very strong and phones are now as powerful as the supercomputers we had 5 years ago. It’s a supercomputer in your pocket.

@John_BrownGood luck, I also have a j7 and it's on part with the normal s7. If these aren't compatible with the j7 they won't be with the s7 IMO
