In the esports world, Evo -- the Evolution Championship Series -- is one of the biggest events of the year. The largest, longest-running fighting game tournament in the world brings together champions from all over the global to compete annually in various fighting game titles, resulting in a massive, non-stop, 3-day convention.

And it is coming back to Las Vegas, Nevada this August! Evo announced today that the tournament will return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The three-day event will take place August 2-4, 2019. 

Evo 2018 also took place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, and featured Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, Injustice 2, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
