On the 28th of September, Riot Games Korea made an announcement that the 2018 League of Legends World Championship Play-In Stage schedule has been changed. The dates for the Play-In Stage Day 1 and Day 3 will be switched with Day 2 and Day 4 respectively.
Due to an unexpected visa issue, LAN's Infinity Esports wasn't able to board their flight until the 28th of September. Therefore, Infinity Esports had no choice but to take their flight on that day, which will cause them to arrive in Korea on the 30th. If the Play-In Stage schedule remained unchanged, Infinity Esports would've had to play their games with only a single day of rest after landing in Korea.
Riot Games Korea added that the decision to change the schedule was made to provide Infinity Esports with a bit more time to recover from the jetlag and to better prepare for their matches. Infinity Esports will play their first Play-In Stage match on the 2nd of October.
