The hype is real around the Grand Finals of Overwatch League’s inaugural season. With the tickets to the event being on sale since yesterday, we can notice on Ticketmaster that the Grandmaster package upgrade, which cost $75 (ticket itself not included), is not available for sale anymore – meaning that they have been all bought already, with only the two-day General Admission tickets being available for $60, alongside the Master package upgrade, which is being sold for $40, so if you plan to attend the finals, you really should move quickly, as it looks like the rest of the batch will not be available for long either.

The high interest for tickets shows that the move to bring the finals to New York was the right call made by Blizzard Entertainment. The venue chosen, the Barclays Center, is home to the Brooklyn (NBA) and the New York Islanders (NHL), with its capacity varying, according to the type of event taking place, between 16000 and 18000, meaning that we should expect a five-digit audience following live the action which will crown the League Champions.

Taking place on July 27th-28, fans should be ready for an unforgettable weekend: besides the action on stage, depending on the package they have acquired, they will be able to do much more, including meeting players from all 12 organizations that are competing in the League’s inaugural season, while having access to all sort of merchandise and goodies, from a special bracelet and commemorative Grand Finals laminate & lanyard to an exclusive bag.

The Grand Finals of the Overwatch League will mark the end of a long and challenging season, which will see the teams playing 40 regular season matches – excluding Stage playoffs – before the 6 best head to the playoffs, which will start on July 11, with the two series between the top 4 teams who didn’t clinch a division title, before culminating on July 27 in the Big Apple, where the winner will take home $1 million.

But while the playoffs are still quite far away, the action keeps going at the Blizzard Arena, with Stage 4 underway since Wednesday, as teams seek the challenge the New York Excelsior’s dominance after winning back-to-back Stage titles. Week 1 of Stage 4 will conclude today with Philadelphia facing Florida, Shanghai versus LA Valiant and London taking on the Excelsior in the most anticipated match of this opening week.
